Attica, Jan 22 – James P. Brown, 82 died at his home near Winthrop last night at 11 o’clock. Native of Allen County, he married Ellen Malady Sept 27, 1881 and was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic church. Surviving with the widow are three children: Clarence, Winthrop; Cecil, Attica and Mrs. Celia Tomlinson, Danville, Ill. The body was taken from the DeSutter Funeral Home to the family home today where friends may call through Thursday evening. Funeral Friday morning at 10 o’clock at St. Savier Church. Rev. Charles E. Malay officiating; interment in Catholic cemetery. --transcribed by kbz
