Hillsboro—James O. Brown, 65, Hillsboro, died at 10:10 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, 1989, in Coldsprings Veterans Hospital, Indianapolis, where he had been a patient six weeks.

  He was born March 13, 1923, in Louisville, Ky. He had been a resident of Hillsboro 42 years. He was married June 7, 1946 to Betty Donovan, who preceded him in death Dec. 2, 1986.

   He was a graduate of Arsenal Technical High School, Indianapolis, and attended Wabash College. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II, serving in India and the Far East. He was an inspector at Alcoa, Lafayette, retiring in 1982.
  He was a member of the Hillsboro American Legion Post.

  Surviving are a son, John R., Mooresville; two daughters, Carolyn Dudding, Christenburg, Va., and Sara Morrison, Kingman, and four grandchildren.

  Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Thursday at Crumley-Williams Funeral Home, Hillsboro, with the Rev. Susan M. Deverall officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery. – thanks to S

Hillsboro—James O. Brown, 65, of Hillsboro, a retired Alcoa inspector, died at 10:10 p.m. Sunday, in the Coldsprings Veterans Hospital, Indianapolis, where he had been a patient six weeks.

Mr. Brown was born March 13, 1923, in Louisville, Ky. He had been a resident of Hillsboro 42 yearsHis marriage on June 7, 1946 was to to Betty Donovan, and she died Dec. 2, 1986.

He retired from Alcoa in 1982.

  Mr. Brown was a member of the Hillsboro American Legion Post.
