BROWN, Hattie Simpson - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Hattie A. Brown, age 87, of Veedersburg Rt. 3, died at 10:50 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, in Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville, where she had been a patient four weeks. Mrs. Brown was born near Mellott May 11, 1879, the daughter of Elbridge and Sarah Oilar Simpson. She was married in August of 1895 to J. Riff Brown, who preceded her in death Sept. 28, 1945. She was a member of the Mellott United Church of Christ. Surviving are: one son, Floyd of Veedersburg Rt. 3; one sister, Mrs. Blanche Soger of Salem, Il1., one grandchild and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery there.  --typed by Walt W
