BROWN, Floyd S. - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Floyd S. Brown, 88 of near Mellott died at 2:40 a.m. today at his residence after a long illness. Mr. Brown was born Sept 21, 1899 near Mellott, a son of John R. and Hattie Simpson Brown. He was a member of Mellott United Church of Christ. A farmer, Mr. Brown was a 1920 graduate of Mellott HS and a salesclerk for more than 40 years until 1972. He was married June 25, 1921 at Mellott to Margaret Davidson who survives. Also surviving a son, Floyd S. of Rt 3, Veedersburg; 3 grandchildren and a great grandson. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday in Crumley-Williams Funeral Home at HIllsboro wtih Rev. William L. Chapman officiating. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery at Hillsboro. Friends may call after 5 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mellott United Church of Christ Memorial Fund.
