Covington—Owen A. Brookshire, 64, 1505 Heather Lane, Covington, died at 12:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 29, 1989 in his home.

  He was born July 7, 1924 in Winchester, Ky., the son of Arnold and Lillian Watson Brookshire. He was married Aug. 3, 1945 in Veedersburg, to Doris Maltsberger, who survives.

  He graduated from Kingman High School and retired from West Central Indiana Co-op at Veedersburg in 1985. He was a member of Coopers Chapel Community Church at Covington and the Fountain County Senior Citizens.

  Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Sharon Rozycki, Fremont, Mich., and Carolyn Gilbert, Wabash; four sisters, Rosetta Martin, Pearl Brookshire and Eileen Boller, all of Covington, and Anna Mae Sherman, Veedersburg, and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son and three brothers.

  Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Coopers Chapel Community Church with the Rev. Max Paddock officiating. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery, Covington.
