BRITTON, Doris Kilburn - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Bloomingdale - Mrs. Doris M. Britton, 50 of Bloomingdale Rt 1, died at 3 a.m. Thursday June 8, 1978 at her home. She had been ill for some time. Born March 6, 1928 in Lyford, she was the daughter of Bruner and Elsie Shoemaker Kilburn. She was married to Leighton "Chuck" Britton who survives. Other survivors include two sons, Leighton of Rockville and Michael at home; a daughter, Mrs. Joyce Knutti of Kingman; her parents of Rockville; a brother, Robert of Rockville, a sister, Mrs. Lorene Britton of Rockville; 4 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Barnes Mortuary in Rockville with Rev. JO Trousdale officiating. Burial in Memory Garden Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today.
