BRIMBURY, Della Mortimore - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

VEEDERSBURG – Della C. Brimbury, 91, of 208 Vine St., Veedersburg, died Wednesday in her home here. She was a member of Hope Baptist at Newtown. Mrs. Brimbury was born in Fountain County on June 5, 1886, a daughter of William T. and Elvessa Rice Mortimer. She married Charles S. Brimbury on April 23, 1905. He died in 1967. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Beulah Holden of Kingman, Mrs. Lela Smith of Waveland, Mrs. Vera Redman of Hammond and Alberta Collom of Mecca; two sons, Mike of Fruitland and Richard L. of Gastonia, N.C.; a brother, W. Cecil Mortimer of Crawfordsville; 51 grandchildren; 57great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, two brothers and seven sons. Private services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Dickerson Funeral Home here with the Rev. Alfred Dobbs officiating. Burial will be in Old Baptist Cemetery at Newtown Friends may call at the funeral home.
