BRIGHT, Robert G. - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Covington - Robert G. Bright, age 76, a life resident of this community, died at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept 24, in the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Danville, Ill., where he had been a patient about one week. He was a 1909 graduate of Covington High School. He worked as an electrician until joining the Army medical corps in World War I. He served overseas. He later worked at the Covington Post Office. He was a member of the Fulton-Banta Post 291, American Legion. He was born Jan 17, 1891, in Covington, the son of Charles K. and Emma Carwile Bright. Surviving are; one sister, Mrs. Mary Wilgus of Indianapolis; one brother, Charles K. of Covington; one nephew, James Bright of Indianapolis and two nieces, Mrs Marilyn Bain of Indianapolis and Mrs. Judy Colby of Montpelier, Vermont. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home here. The Rev. P.J. Hamilton officiated and burial was in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
