ATTICA, Ind. (CNS) — Floyd S. Brier, 64, of Attica Route 1, died at 11:20 p.m. Monday (April 17, 1972) at St. Elizabeth Hospital at Lafayette. He had been a patient since March 22. Born at Roberts Corner in Fountain County, Dec. 16, 1907, he was the son of Orrie Z. and Blanche Foreman Brier. He was married July 19, 1947, at Hammond to Velma Turner, who survives. She is a cashier at Krogers. A life resident of Attica area, he had attended Attica schools and at the time of his death was employed by L. C. Roemer and son for 13 years. He also had worked part-time at Rich's Oil Co. and was formerly employed as core maker at Harrison Steel Casting Co. for 18 years. He also worked at DeSutter's Furniture Co., Grady and Biggs Shell Oil Co. and Moffett's DX Service Station. A veteran of World War II, he was a member of the United Methodist Church, special police department of Attica for 10 years and VFW Post 3318. Other survivors include his mother of Williamsport; two sons, Darrell of Attica Route 4 and Melvin at home; a daughter, Mrs. John (Karen) Scheurich of Veedersburg Route 4; three brothers, Merle of Attica Route 1, Fred of Attica and Cecil of Attica Route 4; three sisters, Mrs. Mildred Schultz of Lafayette, Mrs. Maurice (Josephine) Lawson of Veedersburg Route 3 and Mrs. Harold (Catherine) DeBord of Williamsport; and a grandchild. Services will be at 2 p.m. EST Thursday at the Dale Maus Funeral Home, with the Rev. Harry C. Randolph officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. The family has requested that any memorials be in the form of contributions to the ?…
