ATTICA — Francis “Frank” George Briddick, Jr., 26, 1424 S. Perry St., Attica, died at 7:05 a.m. Saturday, June 23, 2001 in the emergency room of St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Lafayette, following a car-motorcycle accident on State Road 25 south of Shadeland He was born May 21, 1975 in Joliet, Ill., the son of Francis George Briddick and Janice Ellen Breen Briddick Fagan. He married Stormy Dawn Mattingly July 20, 1995 in Williamsport. She survives. He lived most of his life in Joliet and for the past four years had resided in Attica. He had attended Lincoln-Way High School in New Lennox, Ill. He worked as a truck driver for the Schilli Distribution Trucking Company in Lafayette for the past two years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rockdale, Ill. He enjoyed four-wheeling, playing with his children and collecting model semi-trucks. Survivors, besides the wife, include: three sons, Francis George Briddick III (age 5), Kegan Alexander Briddick (age 4) and Camden Thomas Briddick (age 16 months), all at home; his mother, Janice E. Fagan, Morris, Ill.; paternal grandparents, Thomas and Elizabeth Briddick, Rockdale, Ill.; maternal grandmother, Genevieve Fuller, Joliet, Ill.; a sister, Lesley Harang, Marseilles, Ill; two good friends, Dan Hobbs, Williamsport and Mark Hobbs, Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.; and two nieces and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Owen Dellas Fuller and his father. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. tonight (Wednesday) at Maus Funeral Home, Attica. Friends will be received from 4-9 p.m. Thursday at the Westwood Memorial Chapel, 3201 W. Jefferson St., Joliet, Ill. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Westwood Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Joliet, Ill. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. – jlr
