Covington -- Rusty Dale Brewer, 66, a life resident of Covington, died at 6 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 31, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville. He had been a patient there 12 hours and had been seriously ill one week. He had been in ill health for five years. Born Sept. 11, 1904, in Kingman, he was the son of Charley and Jane Evans Brewer. He was married to Josephine Horton, who survives. He had been employed at the Harrison Steel Castings Co. Other survivors include five sons, Richard of Veedersburg, Kenneth of West Lebanon, John of Yeddo, Howard and Larry, both of home; two daughters, Mrs. Donna Lang of Hillsboro and Mrs. Phyllis Stout of Covington; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Rice of Danville and Mrs. Fredia Butts of Veedersburg; and 12 grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by two children, three brothers and a sister. Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Hegg Funeral Home. The Rev. John Beggs officiated. Burial was in Centennial Cemetery near Kingman.
