BRANT, Matthias - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Waynetown, July 13 - Mathias Brant, one of Waynetown's oldest citizenes, died Saturday night at the advanced age of 81. He leaves a wife, and a daughter, Mrs. Bettie Pardue, and one grandson, Charlie Brant, who made his home here since the murder of his father, John Brant, at Veedersburg, 3 years ago. Mr. Brant was a Civil War Veteran and before he became an invalid was active in the local interests of Waynetown. He was owner of the land on the South side of Main Street and plotted and sold a number of the additions to the town. The funeral services wer eheld this afternoon at 2 o'clock.
