BRANT, Mary Jane Campbell - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Hillsboro, March 7 -- Mrs. Mary Jane Brant, 87, one of the oldest citizens of this community, died on Tuesday night at the home of her sister, Mrs. Sabrina Epperson, where she had made her home for the past 7 years. She was the daughter of John and Malinda Frazier Campbell and was born Jan 6, 1941 at the old homestead west of Hillsboro, which is now occupied by her brother, John Wallace Campbell. On May 20, 1866, she was united in marriage to Christopher Brant who died in April, 1917. Mrs. Brant was a member of the Waynetown Baptist Church and held memberships in the Eastern Star Chapter, Waynetown until the Chapter discontinued. Mrs. Brant was one of the very charming characters of the community, happy in disposition and highly respected by all who knew her. Funeral services will be held from the Baptist Church in Waynetown on Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Interment will take place in the Masonic Cemetery at Waynetown.
