BRANT, Christopher d. 1917 - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Hillsboro, April 16 - Chris Brant, 90 years old, died at his home east of here at 3:30 o'clock this morning after a brief illness with a complication of diseases. Mr. Brant was one of the wealthiest farmers in Fountain County. He had resided near here for 83 years, coming to this county from Kentucky when he was 17 years old. He had been in declining health for some time but had been confined to his bed only a week. Mr. Brant was the last surviving member of his family. He was twice married, his second wife, Mrs. Mary Campbell Brant, surviving him. He is also survived by one daughter, Mrs. Nett Bever of Hillsboro and two grandchildren. Mr. Brant was a charter member of Waynetown Masonic Order and this lodge will participate in the funeral services which will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 in charge of Rev. Duncan of the Waynetown Baptist Church.
