Mrs. Mary Eleanor Brandenburg, 69 years old, mother of Mrs. Wisher Myers of Veedersburg died at 2:30 o’clock Monday afternoon at her home in Covington. She had been ill for a year or more.  Mrs. Brandenburg was born on Sept 17, 1882 near Edwardsburg, Mich the daughter of James and Rachel Foster Bacon. She was married in 1911 to Charles Baldwin who died in 1925. She was married in 1930 to the Rev. AL Brandenburg who died in 1936. She had lived in Covington since 1931 and was a member of the Covington Methodist Church, the Women’s Society of Christian Service of that church, Troy Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, Women’s Club, Home Economics Club and Daughters of the American Revolution.  Surviving are three daughters, Miss Rachael Baldwin of Wilmette, Ill; Mrs. Frances Myers of Veedersburg and Miss Grace Baldwin of Indianapolis; one son, Edward Baldwin of Clintonville, Wis; a brother, David Bacon of Edwardsburg, Mich; four grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.  Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church in Covington at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Homer Farthing, the pastor. The funeral party will leave Thursday for Edwardsburg, Mich where services will be held in the local church at 1 p.m. with burial in the Edwardsburg cemetery. – kbz
