BRACEWELL, Roy - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Roy D. Bracewell, 74, of 624 Cunningham for 13 years, died at 8:35 p.m. yesterday (Oct. 5, 1969) at Lake View Memorial Hospital. He had been in ill health the past two years. Born Feb. 6, 1895, in Danville, he was the son of Edwin and Jessie Anderson Bracewell. He was married Dec. 30, 1928, in Covington, Ind., to Lela Webb who survives. Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Russell (Lavone) Johnson of Danville. Mr. Bracewell was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. He was a member of Vermilion Heights United Methodist Church, Curtis G. Redden Post 210, American Legion. A veteran of World War I, he retired in March of 1966 from Allith Corp. where he had worked as an inspector. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Barrick & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. John Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7-9 p.m.
