BOYS, Ilene - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Ilene Boys of Attica, formerly of Hillsboro, age 70, died Thursday night, March 18, in Home Hospital at Lafayette. She was born at Glasgow, Kentucky, March 4, 1912, the daughter of James and Edna Smith Parker. August 23, 1930, she married Charles Herbert Boys, who survives. Mrs. Boys was a member of Attica Christian Church. A graduate of Hillsboro High School, she had worked as a waitress in Attica and had also been employed by Guthmans Cabinet Company of Attica.

  Also surviving are a daughter, Patty Jo Kennedy of Williamsport; a son, Charles Richard of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; her mother, Edna Swarner of Hillsboro; a sister, Omia Short of Boswell; two brothers, Jack Parker of Hillsboro and Clifford Parker of Williamsport; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at Maus Funeral Home in Attica with Rev. James Boudouris officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery at Attica. -s
