Time is numbering, and death is calling us from labor to reward. We are going, one by one, to give an account of our stewardship of life to the author of life. Mary C. Bowsher, daughter of James and Margaret Watts, was born near Kingman, Indiana June 18, 1854. She died at 4:00 a.m. Dec 8, 1925 age 71 Y 5M 10D. She has lived near Kingman all her life. Oct 25, 1880 she was united in married to LA Bowsher. She cared for his son, Lawrence as if he was her own. They toiled, ? and planned together for more than 42 years. When very young she joined the Pleasant Grove Church. Several years ago she united with the Kingman United Brethren Church. She was constantly helping the church with gifts. Her last gift was 3 beautiful pulpit chairs. 14 years ago she selected the lot for her last resting place in Rush Creek Cemetery. Then 5 years ago she and her husband decided to give $100.00 to Rush creek and $100 to the Kingman Fraternal cemeteries as an endowment fund; the surviving one to pay Rush Creek on their next Home Coming (sic) and the Kingman Fraternal Cemetery on the next Decoration Day exercise. Her father, mother, two brothers and one sister preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, LA Bowsher, his son Lawrence and one sister, Mrs. JM Lewis of Kingman. Relatives and friends are sad and mourning but they can not wish her back for she suffered intensely for 3 years. Death released her from her earthly troubles. The Family appreciates the services of the Ladies Aid of her church and kind friends. The services were at the UB Church at Kingman in Dec 10, 1925. Her pastor, Rev HA Lashbrook had charge of the services; Rev JM McHargue assisted.
