Crawfordsville Sept 5 – Carl Bowman, 17 years old, a junior in the Hillsboro High School was found in a critical condition at his home near Hillsboro today with a bullet wound behind his right ear. An attempted suicide theory was doubted by members of the family, who said they know of no reason why he should have been despondent. He was found lying across a bed with a .32 caliber revolver in his hand. The revolver had been in the home several years. The youth’s recovery is doubtful.
