Covington -- Mrs. Sylvia M. Bowman, 80 a resident of Covington since 1952 and a former resident of Kingman and Yeddo died at 12:30 p.m. Thursday Jan 14, 1971 at the Tall Tress Nursing Home. She had been a patient there for 8 months and had been seriously ill a month. Born June 16, 1890 in Yeddo, she was the daughter of John P and Mary Olvie Marshall Redenbaugh. She was married in 1921 to Ernie Bowman who died in 1952. She had been a housewife. Survivors include several nieces & nephews and cousins including Mrs. Vera Kesner of Marshall; Mrs. Hazel Moffet of Kingman and Earl Bowman, Waveland. She was preceded in death by a brother, Paul. She was a member of the Centennial Church at Yeddo. Serv. will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Hegg Funeral Home. The Rev. George Beatty will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home. Friends will be received after noon Friday .
