B. Bowman, 79, Route 1, Hillsboro, died at 12:01 a.m. Friday, Jan. 20,
1989, in Covington Manor Health Care Center at Covington.
She was born Nov. 24, 1909, near Tangier, the daughter of Charles M. and
Lula Ransom Guinn. She was married Dec. 24, 1930 at Wallace to Clarence
L. Bowman, who survives.
She was a
homemaker and had lived in the Wallace community the past 45 years. She was a
member of the former East Liberty Church, west of Kingman. She attended school
near Kingman.
Surviving besides her husband are a son, C. “Bud”, Wallace; two
daughters, Mrs. Donald (Virginia) Britton, Wallace, and Mrs. Harlan (Verna)
Ward, Crawfordsville; a brother, Charlie, Route 2, Kingman; a sister, Mrs.
Pauline Cook, Covington; nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by three brothers.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Monday in Thomas Funeral Home,
Waynetown, with the Rev. Norman Wallace officiating. Burial was in Lutheran
