Kingman - Pearly Bowman, 62 a former custodian of the Kingman school, died Monday morning at Robert Long Hospital, Indianapolis. He was admitted to the hospital April 5 with a heart ailment. Born in Fountain County on September 1, 1891 he was the son of Jake and Catherine Wilkinson Bowman. In 1910, he married Ollie Taylor, who survives. He was a member of the Wallace Christian Church. Surviving besides the widow are 4 daughters: Mrs. Ura Burton of Attica and Mrs. Della Whalen; Mrs. Ruby Goben and Miss Virginia Bowman, all of Indianapolis; 3 brothers, Glen of Attica; Elliot of Veedersburg and William; one sister, Mrs. Edna Gott of Crosby, Ill; 8 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Woodrow Funeral Home in Kingman with Rev. Riffle Howard officiating. Burial will be in Kingman Fraternal Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 a.m. Wednesday.
