ATTICA — Mrs. Irene I. Bowman, age 59, of Rapid City, South Dakota, formerly of the Alvin, Ill., area and sister of Mrs. Jean Stump of Attica, died Saturday, June 21, in the Rapid City Nursing Home Center, where she had been a patient four months. Mrs. Bowman was born Sept. 8, 1909, in Alvin, the daughter of Ira and Lula Hardy Wolfe. She was married to John Bowman, who preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by one daughter. Surviving are: one son, Philip of Rapid City; three sisters, Mrs. Stump of Attica, Mrs. Ethel Galloway of Pence and Mrs. Elizabeth Watson of Alvin; four brothers, Lee Hardy of Mesa, Ariz., Clarence Wolfe of Oxford, Roscoe Wolfe of Williamsport and Home Wolfe of Appleton, Wis.; and five grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. today, June 25, at the Young Funeral Home in Rossville, Ill. The Rev. Edward Milhouse officiated and burial was in Sunset Memorial Park, north of Danville, Ill.
