Veedersburg - Bruce Bowman 66 of 416 W. 9th Veedersburg died early Tuesday June 5, 1973 at St. Elizabeth in Danville, Ill. He was married September 30, 1958 in Pittsboro to Kathryn Wilkerson who survives. Bowman is a veteran of WWI where he served in the Army. He is a member of Wolfe Creek Church near Wallace. Survivors include two sons, Jack of Grand Junction, Colorado; and Bruce at home; a daughter, Mary at home; two brothers, Joe of Rockville and Allen of St. John; a sister, Thelma of Hammond and 3 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Allen who was killed in the Korean War. Services will be 3 p.m. Friday at Wolfe Creek Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Lamey Funeral Home.

Veedersburg – Bruce Bowman, 66 of 416W 9th St, died Tuesday morning in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Danville, Ill.  He had been in ill health one year. A veteran of WWII in the Army, he was a native of Cates.  He was married in 1958 in Pittsboro to Kathryn Wilkerson who survives. Mr. Bowman was a member of Wolf Creek church near Wallace. Surviving with the wife are a son, Bruce and a daughter, Mary, both at home; son by a previous marriage, Jack of Grand Junction, Colo; two brothers, Joe of Rockville; Allen of St. John and one sister, Thelma of Hammond.
