BOWMAN, Alva E. - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Alva E. Bowman, 85 of Veersburg Rt 1 died at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 22, 1969 at the Tall Trees Rest Home, Covington. He had been in failing health for two years. He was born September 12, 1883 near Wallace, the son of Dennis and Laura Wilkinson Bowman. He was a life resident of Fountain County and member of the Veedersburg Church of the Nazarene. He attended Jackson Twp schools and was a farmer and laborer. He was preceded in death by 7 brothers and 5 sisters and was the last child of the family. Services will be 3 p.m. Monday at the Veedersburgt Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Omar H. Walters officiating, burial in Lutheran Cemetery at Wallace. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 Sunday at Crumley-Williams Funeral Home, Hillsboro.
