Mrs. Hazel P. Bowers died Sunday evening at 5 o’clock at her home in Veedersburg following an illness of 2 ½ years. A native of Fountain County, Mrs. Bowers was born Feb 25, 1890 the daughter of Robert L. and Sarah Yocum Brewer. She was married to James Bowers Oct 29, 1910. Surviving is the husband: four daughters, Mrs. Margaret Puckett of Anderson, Ind; Mrs. Sarah McCollum; Mrs. Marie Lawson and Mrs. Blanche Wilkie all of Veedersburg; one son, Carl of Covington; three sisters, Mrs. Albert Suiters and Mrs. Curly Suiters both of Covington and Mrs. Eva Cabman of Perrysville and 13 grandchildren. She was a member of the Christian Church of Covington. Funeral services were Wednesday in Covington with burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery. – kz
