Hillsboro, Nov 13 - Harmon W. Bowers, age 71, retired Hillsboro business man died of a heart attack at his home here Saturday monring at 3 o'clock. He had been in the hardware business here for 18 years until his retirement in March 1943 when he sold his business to Asa Humphreys. He was the son of Cyrus and Molly Utterback Bowers, and was born at Elmdale Aug 4, 1872. In 1895 Mr. Bowers entered the harness business in Waynetown and on Dec 23, 1913, he was married to Mrs. Della Hogan. They resided in Waynetown until 1924 when they moved to HIllsboro. The deceased was a member of Waynetown Christian Church and the Odd Fellows Lodge. He is survived by his wife, two brothers, Marcus and Chell Bowers of Chicago; a sister, Mrs. Lillian Haines, also of Chicago; a step son, Ulver Hogan of Crown Point and stepdaughter, Mrs. Arleen Terry of Philadelphia. The funeral will be held from the Waynetown Christian Church at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon in charge of Rev. HA Davis of Clermont. Burial will be made in Waynetown Masonic cemetery.

A heart attack resulted in death for Harmon W. Bowers, 71, retired business man, at his home in Hillsboro at 3 o'clock, Saturday morning November 13.  Mr. Bowers had been in his usual health and had been down in town Friday afternoon.  He lived but a few minutes after suffering the attack.  Mr. Bowers had been engaged in the hardware business in Hillsboro the last 18 years until his retirement last March when he sold the business to Asa Humphries Yountsville.  He first went into business when he entered the harness trade at Waynetown in 1895.  Son of Cyrus and Molly Utterback Bowers, he was born August 24, 1872, at Elmdale.  On December 23, 1913, he was married to Mrs. Ella Hoga, and they resided in Waynetown until 1925, when they moved to Hillsboro.  He was member of the Waynetown Christian Church and Odd Fellows Lodge.  Besides the widow, he is survived by two brothers, Marcus and Chell
