BOWERS, Daniel - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Covington, Ind. (CNS) -- Daniel Bowers, 89, a life resident of Covington, died at 12:05 p.m. yesterday (March 25, 1969) at the Small Nursing Home in Waynetown. He had been a patient there six months. Born Nov. 2, 1879, in Fountain County, he was the son of Jacob and Rosemary Kelly Bowers. He was married to Lottie Gardner, who died in 1916. He was a retired farmer. Survivors include a son, Russell C. of Covington; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by two sons, a daughter, four sisters and three brothers. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Hegg Funeral Home. The Rev. James Downey will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home. Friends will be received after noon Thursday.
