BOUNNELL, Bernice Starnes - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Bernice Bounnell, 98, of Noblesville Health Care and formerly of Waynetown died at 10:10 a.m. Monday at the Noblesville facility. She was a 75-year-member of Eastern Star, a charter member of Beta Chi Chapter of Psi Iota Xi Sorority, Waynetown Christian Church, DAR and DAC. She was a graduate of Hillsboro HS attended Butler University and Oxford College in Ohio.  Mrs. Bounnell was born Aug 11, 1900 in Hillsboro to Lewis and Mary Tanner Starnes.  She married J. Heath Bounnell in 1924 at Indianapolis. He died in 1958.  Surviving are two sons, James Richard of Carmel and Harry L. of Crestwood, Ky; six grandchildren; one step grandchild; one step grandchild (sic).  An infant brother is deceased. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday in Shoemaker Funeral Home Inc 202 Indiana 25 S with Rev. Ed Maurer officiating.  Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to services. Memorials may be made to the Waynetown Christian Church of charity of the donor's choice. - kbz
