ATTICA — Joseph Bossaer, age 70, a resident of Attica Rt. 2, died unexpectedly at his home at 5:15 p.m. Saturday, March 23. He had been in failing health the past year. Mr. Bossaer was born in Attica April 7, 1897, the son of Sebastain and Rosa Snowaert Bossaer. He had lived in the Indianapolis area five years and the remainder of his life was spent in the Attica area. He was married June 30, 1920, in North Vernon to Gladys Smith, who survives. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church of Attica and he had attended the Attica schools. Surviving, in addition to the wife, are; two sons, Charles Alphonse at home and Franklin, of Romney, Ill.; one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Joan) Martin of Waukegan; one brother, Frank of Attica; two sisters, Miss Sylvia Bossaer and Mrs. Virgil (Mary) Peterson, both of Attica, and seven grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today, March 27, at the St. Francis Xavier Church here. The Rev. Charles Remaklus officiated and burial was in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.
