Louis H. Borst 65, of 1209 S. Perry St., Attica, died at Community hospital at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 6, 1973. He had been ill since 1967 but death was sudden and unexpected. He had taken ill at work. He was born in Attica March 11, 1908, a son of George and Jennie Harvey Borst and was a lifelong resident of this city. He was married Nov. 27, 1943, at Newburg, N. Y., to Hazel Babcock, who survives. A graduate of Attica High School, he was a caster and maintenance man at C & D Batteries. He had also been associated with his brothers in the Borst Meat Market. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the air force. He attended the Methodist Church and was a member of the Attica VFW post. Surviving besides the widow are two sons, Louis and Lance, both at home; five daughters, Bonita and Brenda of Miami, Fla., Mrs. David (Beverly) Brown of Attica, Mrs. Robert (Betty) Guerrerro of Saltillo, Mexico, Mrs. Joe (Bella) Daugherty of Greenwood; one brother, Frank, four sisters, Mrs. Joe (Betty) Kiger, Mrs. Robert (Genevieve) Green, Mrs. John (Pauline) Bossaer, and Mrs. Frank (Josephine) Peterson. One brother, George Ray, preceded him in death. Friends will be received at the Dale Maus Funeral Home from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 Saturday. Funeral services in the Maus Chapel Sunday at 2:00 p. m., Rev. Vernon Lallement officiating. Burial in Riverside cemetery with military rites by the Attica VFW.
