Mrs. Jennie May Borst, age 79 of Attica, died at 9:45 a.m. Saturday, Jan 7, 1967 in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette. She had been a patient there 2 days and had been in ill health nearly 5 years. A life-long resident of Attica, she was born March 7, 1887, the daughter of John & Ida May Weirman Harvey. She was married in Indianapolis June 8, 1907, to George J. Borst who died Feb 7, 1940. He had operated the Borst Meat Market, Attica from 1906 until his death. Mrs. Borst is survived by 3 sons and 5 daughters: Louis; George; Ray; Frank; Mrs. Robert (Genevieve) Green; Mrs. John (Pauline) Bossaer, Jr. and Mrs. Frank (Josephine) Peterson, all of Attica; and Mrs. Joe (Betty Jeane) Kiger of Williamsport; 22 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at DeSutter Funeral Home, Attica 2 p.m. Tuesday, Rev. Donald Ashley, pastor of 1st Methodist Church of Attica, officiated and burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Attica.
