BOORD, Lura Mellott Sentman - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Veedersburg - Mrs. Lura G. Boord, age 75, died at 12:45 p. m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, at the Rudisill Nursing Home at Covington. She was born May 17, 1887 in Fountain County, a daughter of William and Sarah Murdock Mellott. She was twice married. Her first husband, Edgar Sentman preceded her in death. She married Earl Boord of Veedersburg Nov. 4, 1959. Mrs. Boord was a member of the West Minister Presbyterian Church at Bradenton, Fla., where she was a resident for 10 years before her marriage to Mr. Boord. Survivors include her husband; a son, Everett Sentman of Lake Forest, Ill.; a brother, Guy Mellott of Veedersburg; two sisters, Mrs. Edith McKnight of Newtown and Mrs. Daisy Benson of Menlo Park, Calif.; four step-sons and four step-daughters. The body was taken to the Crumley Funeral Home in Hillsboro where funrela services will be conducted at 1:30 p. m. Friday. Rev. William Ainsworth will be in Green Lawn Cemetery at Wingate.
