Memorial services are pending for Mrs. Julia Crane Boord, 88 of 26 Guada Coma, who died Friday at Colonial Manor Nursing Home. Burial has been set for Osborn Prairie Cemetery, Veedersburg, Ind.  She was born March 15, 1892 in Attica, Indiana, daughter of Benjamin and Emma (nee Irwin) Crane.  A housewife, she was the widow of Samuel Jonathan Boord. A resident of New Braunfels the past 8 years, she was affiliated with Sterling Christian Church, the Ladies’ Aid and the War Mothers.  Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Bowen of Marion and Rose Anna Vaught of Indiana; two sons, Ken and George Boord, of New Braunfels and Arizona, respectively; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Arrangements were handled by Zoeller Funeral Home. – kbz

Mrs. Julia Crane Boord of New Braunfels, Texas, formerly of Veedersburg, age 88, died Friday night, March 6, in Colonial Manor Nursing Home at New Braunfels. She was born at Rob Roy, March 15, 1892, the daughter of Benjamin and Margaret Irwin Crane.
  Her husband, Samuel Boord, preceded her in death. Mrs. Boord had been a member of Sterling Christian Church since she was 17 years old.
  Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Margret Bowens of Marion, Texas, and Mrs. Rose Vaught of Audubon; two sons, Samuel K. of New Braunfels and George E. of Scottsdale, Arizona; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
  Funeral services were held this afternoon (Thursday) at Parham Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Rev. Alfred Dobbs officiating. Burial was in Osborne Prairie Cemetery.
