Veedersburg --George Theodore (Ted) Boord, 63, a resident all his life of this community, died of a heart attack at 4:30 p.m. Friday in Indianapolis. He had gone there on a business trip with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Lang of Veedersburg, and they were walking to a parking lot for their car for the return trip when he collapsed. He had not complained of being ill. Mr. Boord, who was a farmer, was a member of Osborne's Prairie Christian Church and custodian of the cemetery there. He was born in Fountain County Jan. 3, 1897, to John and Rose Campbell Boord. He was married Aug. 3, 1922, to Freda Crane, who survives. Also surviving are the daughter, Mrs. Mary Ann Lang; a son, Robert of Veedersburg, and two brothers, Cecil of Columbus, Ohio, and Wendell of Veedersburg. Funeral services are set for 3 p. m. Sunday at Osborne's Prairie Church with Rev. Thomas Linton officiating and burial in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. Friends may call at the J. Fred Parham Funeral Home after 6 p. m. Saturday.

Veedersburg - George Theodore (Ted) Boord, 63,l died of a heart attack on a downtown Indianapolis street at 4:30 p.m .Friday. Boord, a farmer and custodian of Osborn Prairie cemetery had gone to Indianapolis with his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Lang on a business trip. They were returning to their car when Boord was fatally stricken. Born on a farm two miles north of here, he was a member of Osborn Prarie Christian Church. Surviving are the widow, a son, Robert of Veedersburg; a daughter, Mrs. Marianne Lang, Veedersburg and two brothers, Cecil Boord of Columbus, Ohio and Wendell Boord, Veedersburg. - kbz
