BOORD, Estel Stuart Houts - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Veedersburg, Ind. (CNS) - Mrs. Estel Boord, 88, of Veedersburg Route 2, died at 6 p.m. yesterday (Oct. 23, 1967) at the Ben Hur Nursing Home in Crawfordsville. Born June 19, 1879, near Yeddo, she was the daughter of James and Amanda Mooney Stuart. She was married Oct. 6, 1898, to Joseph Houts, who died. She was married Feb. 9, 1910, to George W. Boord, who died. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Fauniel Brown of Mellott, Mrs. Pauline Washburn of Veedersburg and Mrs. Elizabeth Washburn of Zionsville; a sister, Mrs. W. G. Ludlow of Evanston, Ill.; a brother, Roy Stuart of Muncie; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Boord was a member of the Osborne Prairie Christian Church and a charter member of the Ladies Aid. She was a life resident of the Veedersburg community. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home. The Rev. Scott Comrie will officiate. Burial will be in the Osborne Prairie Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home. Friends will be received after 2 p.m. Wednesday.
