A sudden attack of heart trouble yesterday morning at 9:30 o'clock caused the death of William Frank BOOE, 74, one of the most widely known men in Montgomery and Fountain counties. It was his custom each morning to visit his brother, George W. Booe, turnkey at the jail. Yesterday when he arrived he said he was feeling as good as usual. Within a few minutes he was overcome with the attack of heart disease. Dr. Clements was called. Mr. Booe lapsed into unconsciousness and became weaker as he was being rushed to his home at 6 W. North Street in a taxi cab. As he was being carried into the house, he died. Mr. Booe had not been in robust health for some time being subject to heart spells. Yesterday morning before he was stricken he was feeling as good as usual. He was born at Scotts Prarie, Fountain County and was the son of William and Mary Booe, early settlers. 50 years ago he married Miss Sarah Smith of Waveland and resides on a farm near that town a number of years. He later moved to Waynetown where he was a justice of the peace for several years. Fifteen years ago he moved to this city and engaged in the brick masonery and recently was appointed inspector on roads in the county. The last work under his inspection was Fleming Road north of this city. Four years ago his first wife died and about two years ago he married Miss Belle Guin who survives. Mr. Booe was an unassuming man. He was highly respected by the large nuber of friends in the counties in which he had lived all his life. Mr. Booe was an active Democrat and was a staunch party worker all his life. He never sought any office. He was a member of the First Christian Church in this city and Masonic Lodge, Waynetown. The deceased had no children. His only relatives living are his brother, George and cousin John Booe, druggist in this city. The funeral will be held at thelate home Friday afternoon at 2:30. Rev. RE Moss, pastor of the Christian Church will officiate; burial in Oak Hill Cemetery.
