Warben (sic) Booe, former resident of Veedersburg died Monday at his home in Chicago, after an illness of several months. He had been confined to the hospital most of the time since July with a serious foot infection but had been brought to his home a few days preceding death for a rest. He expected to return to the hospital for further treatment. Warben and his family were very well known in this community and have always been held in high esteem by their many friends. He was born in Veedersburg on Dec 30, 1890 the son of Zeb and Ida Coffing Booe. He was graduated from the Veedersburg HS in 1911 and was united in marriage to Myrtle Purnell in 1914. To this union one son, Richard was born. Surviving besides the widow and son are both parents, Mr. and Mrs. Zeb Booe, of Bunnell, Fla. 3 brothers, Harry of Daytona, Fla; Fred of Bunnell, Fla; and Willie Frank of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. One brother, James preceded him in death last December, having been killed in action while serving with the US Navy during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. The body was removed to Veedersburg, Wednesday night and will remain at the Fishero funeral home. Funeral services will be held at the Christian Church in Veedersburg Friday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Burial at Rockfield Cemetery.
