Russell Warren Booe Sr., age 59, died at his home at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5. He had been ill six months. For the past three years he had been a watchman at Radio Materials Corporation at Attica, and before that he worked for the Indiana State Highway Department several years. Mr. Booe was born at Veedersburg Nov. 25, 1906, the son of Balser and Effie Alston Booe. He was married June 10, 1961 to Christine Minnick, who survives. Surviving, in addition to the wife, are: the father, Balser Booe; four sons by a previous marriage, Russell Jr., of Veedersburg, Robert of Danville, Ill., William of the U. S. Army in Maryland and James of the U.S. Air Corps in South Carolina; two brothers, Orville of Hillsboro and Gene of Peoria, Ill.; three sisters, Mrs. Hazel Hay of Danville, Mrs. Dorothy Rasmussen of Wisconsin and Mrs. Betty Reynolds of Attica; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Also surviving are: one stepson, Robert Minnick; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Betty Brimberry, both of Attica, and six step-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Stone Bluff EUB Church. The Rev. Donald Williams officiated. Burial, with the Sever Mortuary of Veedersburg in charge, was in the Osborne Prairie Cemetery, northeast of Covington.
