Hillsboro - Orville "O Booe" Booe, 69, of Hillsboro died at 4:35 a.m. today in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. He had been in failing health for five years. Mr. Booe had retired in 1974 from Pitman Trucking Co after 37 years with the firm. He was a member of the Sterling Christian Church and attended schools in Veedersburg. He had lived at Hillsboro since 1942. Born Oct 12, 1907 at Veedersburg, he was a son of Balsor and Effie Alston Booe. He was married Nov 1, 1930 to Ruby Kennedy at West Lebanon. She survives. Also surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Max (Hilda) Teegarden of Covington Mrs. Thelma Mathis and Mrs. Richard (Joyce) Lyons of Hillsboro and Mrs. Charles (Linda) Kester of Linden; a son, Fredrick of Hillsboro; a brother, Walter E of Peoria, Ill; three sisters, Mrs. Hazel Hay of Danville, Ill; Mrs. Dorothy Rassmussen of Williams Bay, Wis and Mrs. Betty Reynolds of Attica; 15 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Five brothers, two sisters and a granddaughter are deceased. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Crumley Williams Funeral Home here with Rev. Bertha Knox and Rev. Bob Hamblen officiating. Burial will be in Rose HIll Cemetery at Hillsboro. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Wednesday.
