AUNT MARIA BOOE died at her home in Veedersburg Saturday afternoon at 5 o’clock of a complication of diseases after a long illness.  She was the wife of the late James Booe who died about a year ago.  She leaves one daughter, Mrs. Margaret May, of Veedersburg;  a son,  Zeb E. Booe, of Dupont, Fla., and a number of grandchildren.   

The funeral was conducted on Monday from the Christian church by the Rev. Oscar Kelley, with interment at the Rockfield cemetery.  Mrs. Booe has been a resident of Veedersburg for many years and had been an active member of the Christian church there longer than any other member, having affiliated with the church over sixty years.  She will be mourned by all who knew her.  Quite a number of relatives from Kingman and vicinity attended the funeral.   – thanks to S&E

Veedersburg Oct 11 – The funeral of Mrs. Maria Spinning Booe who died at her home here Saturday was held from the First Christian Church here at 2 o’clock this afternoon, Rev O. Kelley officiating and burial was made in the Rockfield cemetery. The deceased was a native of Dayton, Ohio and was 78 years old.  She came to Fountain County with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Spinning when she was 9 years old.  Since that time she had been a resident of the county.  Her father died soon after coming to Indiana. She was married to James M. Booe in 1858.  He died in January 1914.  Mrs. Booe leaves one daughter, Mrs. Margaret May of this city, a son, Zeb E. Booe of Dupont, Fla and a number of grandchildren.  She was a member of the Christian Church.   –- kbz
