HILLSBORO — Larry F. Booe, 62, 608 E. Main St., Hillsboro, died at 6:25 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2006 in Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. He was born Oct. 6, 1943 in Danville, Ill., the son of Francis Malcolm and Louise (Rivers) Booe. He married Charlene Melvin Oct. 5, 1998 in Covington. She survives. He was a life resident of Fountain County, graduating from Hillsboro High School. He formerly farmed and was presently a self employed carpenter. He was a member of the New Liberty Christian Church, National Wildlife Federation, and was an avid fisherman, hunter and lover of the outdoors. Survivors, besides the wife, include: his mother of Hillsboro; four daughters, Joan (Robin) Schultz, Crawfordsville, Lisa Boone, Darlington, Jennifer (Jeff) Bartelson, Crawfordsville, and Natalie (Jason) Gulley, Veedersburg; a son, J. T. Booe, Veedersburg; two step daughters, Shelley Rogers, West Lafayette and Tami (Douglas) Little, Tangier; a step son, Jim (Amy) Rogers, Bismarck, Ill.; two sisters, Patricia (Stuart) Collins, Bloomington, Minn. and Linda (James) Keith, Wingate; nine grandchildren, nine step grandchildren; and four step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Hillsboro Church of the Nazarene with the Revs. Rich McQuinn and Greg McDonald officiating.
