BOOE, James Ross - 1947

Death separated husband and wife by only two months when James R. Booe, 76 died August 7 and his wife Grace Hesler Booe died June 8, 1947.  Mr. Booe died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Verner Mann of Frankfort, Saturday evening.  He went to the Mann home shortly after the death of his wife and had been ill most of the time.  His illness was due to paralysis suffered a few years ago.  He was the son of Thomas Jefferson and Mary REED Band was born near Steam Corner, Oct 2, 1870).  His marriage to Grace Hesler took place April 5, 1885.  He was engaged in farming is this faciality the greater part of his life with the exception of 7 years spent in Scott County.  Mr. Booe was a member of East Liberty Church and is the last member of his immediate family.  In addition to the daughter at Frankfort, four sons 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive.  The funeral service was from the New Liberty   Church near here Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. with the pastor, Rev. Raymond Hayworth of Danville, Ill. Officiating. The pall bears were Marvin Mann of Frankfort; Charles, Rex and Guy Stockdale, Hugh Glascock, Elmer, Charles and Harold Lee Hesler. The flower bearers were: Marjorie Clements of Crawfordsville; Barbar Pearson and Virginia Mann of Frankfort; Sydney and Gail Booe of Kingman; Marian Stockdale and Margaret Ann Pittman of Hillsboro.  The Rev.
