Rockville, Ind - A Rockville Route 3 man died Thursday in a Terre Haute Hospital of injuries received when he was struck by a motorcycle. Dead is Arthur T. Bonebrake, 65. Police reported Bonebrake was struck about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday on US Rt 41 at Anderson Street, Rockville. Driver of the Motorcycle was Greg Gray, 26 of Marshall. According to the Parke Co. Sheriff's Dept, Bonebrake was walking in the center of the road. Officers said Gray told them that he saw Bonebrake and swerved to miss him, but Bonebrake kept walking and stepped directly in front of his motorcycle. Bonebrake was born April 2, 1913 in Indiana, son of Toby & Sophie Bonebrake. He was married in 1956 in Jeffersonville, Ind. Survivors include his wife, Mabel; two sons, F. Arthur of Crawfordsville and Dean of Rockville Rt. 3; two daughters, Mrs. Marlene Myers of Rockville, Ind and Mrs. Doris Steele of Crawfordsville; Ind; 9 grandchildren and a great grandchild. Bonebrake was a retired employee of the Indiana Department of Corrections. He worked at the Rockville Training Center for 8 years prior to his retirement. He was a member of Crawfordsville Moose Lodge & I & I Foxhunters Association.
