Mrs. Myra Jane Bond of Danville, Illinois, age 70, died Tuesday afternoon, March 31, in Lakeview Medical Center at Danville, She was born in Yeddo, August 31, 1910, the daughter of John Earl and Effie Dot Lindley Hancock. April 22, 1929, she married Clarence Randall Bond, who died December 18, 1978. A member of Danville First Congregational church and Vermilion County Museum Society, she retired in 1975 after working at General Electric, Kresge’s and the Arnholt Bakery.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Betty Jean Tucker of Bloomingdale, Illinois, and Mrs. Barbara June Jenkins of Little Rock, Arkansas; two sons, Charles Albert of Georgetown, Illinois, and Clarence R. Jr. of Little Rock; a sister, Mrs. Leona Garrison of Willits, California; a brother, Charles William Hancock of Danville, Illinois; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the First Congregational Church in Danville with Rev. Don Paulson officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park at Danville with Pape Memorial Home in charge of arrangements. – thanks to S
