Kingman -- Donald Bond, 82, died at 4:20 a.m. Wednesay July 23, 1997 at his residence. He was born July 22, 1915 in Parke County, son of Adam Edward and Dulcie Chloe Pratt Bond. He married Thelma A. Brook September 28, 1935 in Horseshow. She survives. He was involved in farming for several years retiring in 1980. He attended Mt. Herman Bible Church in Tangier. He was a member of Farm Bureau, Rockville & Kingman Sr. Citizens. He also served for several years on tge election board for Liberty Township, Parke County. Surviving besides wife are two sons, Charley (Nancy) Bond, Dana; James (Rita ) Bond, Bloomingdale, 7 grandchildren, 3 step greats and a brother, Russell (Ruth) Bond, Lafayette. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Richard D. Bond on Sept 16, 1992; two brothers, Marvin & Adam and sister, Chloris Lewis. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. today, Friday at DeVerter Brothers Funeral Home, Cayuga with Rev Leon Korb and Pastor Carl Huxford officiating. Burial will be in Miller Cem, Lodi.
