Mrs. Claudetta Marie Boice, 45, of 117 N. California died at 9:20 p.m. Tuesday (Aug. 29, 1978) at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. She had been a patient since Aug. 1 and in failing health two years. Mrs. Boice moved to Danville from Greenfield, Ind., 14 months ago and has lived at her California street address since then. Before moving here, she worked as an assembler with Western Electric Co. in Indianapolis for 20 years. Mrs. Boice was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and the Pioneer Club. She attended the Oaklawn Church of the Nazarene. Her hobbies were oil painting, crocheting, gardening and flowers. Born Dee. 3, 1932, in Vermillion County, Ind., she was a daughter of Claude Edward and Amy Christine Smith Johnson. She attended schools in Eugene, Tangier and Cayuga, Ind., and Danville High. On Dec. 14, 1962, in Danville, she married John Henry Boice. He died in April 1976. Her parents also preceded her in death. Survivors include two stepsons, John Robert of Beardstown and Gerald of Havana, Ill.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Harold (Charlotte) Milby of Beardstown; six aunts, Grace Bennett, Mary L??aw, Violet Little and Olive Holy??oss, all of Danville, Helen Downing of Covington, Ind., and Zelpha Shelto of Cayuga, Ind.; and seven stepgrandchildren. Services will be 9:30 a.m. Friday at Pape Memorial Home, with the Rev. J.B. Fustin officiating. Burial will be in a cemetery at Virginia, Ill. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7.9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
