Graveside services were held Monday at Christian Union Cemetery near Newtown, Ind., for John W. Boggan, 76, of Paducah, Ky., who died Thursday July 29, 1976 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Marion, Ill. He had been in failing health for some time. The Rev. Tim Adams officiated. Mr. Boggan was a member of the Baptist Church and the American Legion and served in the Marines during World War II. He was born March 21, 1900 in Mississippi to Joel W. and Sally Walden Boggan. He married Ethel Finley Dec. 6, 1925. She survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Oscar (Nancy) Foxworthy of Veedersburg Route 4; a son Paul S. Boggan of Oceanside, Calif.; and a sister, Mrs. Alice Parchman of Amory, Miss. Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro, Ind. were in charge of arrangements.
