COVINGTON, Ind. (CNS) —Jack R. Bodine, 51, of 320 9th St., Covington, died at 1:35 p.m. Friday (Dec. 22, 1967) at the VFW Club in Covington where he was employed. He had gone there with a son to clean up for a Christmas party later in the afternoon. Death was attributed to a heart attack. He was born Nov, 1, 1916 in Wabash Township, Fountain Co., the son of Richard and Ida Mallory Bodine. He married Josephine Keller on July 29, 1939. Mr. Bodine was a 1935 graduate of Perrysville High and was a member of Fountain Lodge No. 60 F&AM at Covington and the Low 12 Club at Wallace. He was employed at the Harrison Steel Castings Co. in Attica for 10 years. He had operated the Club Cigar Store in Covington for the past five years. He had worked at the VFW Club since 1958. He is survived by the widow; his father of Covington; four sons, Richard Joe of Decatur, Ill., Jimmie Jack of Danville, Ill., and Billie George and Jeffrey Lynn, both at home; a sister, Mrs. Louise Adams of Crawfordsville; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother and three sisters. Services will be at 2 p. m Sunday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home, with the Rev. Glenn Ray officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Masonic services will he held at the funeral home at 8:30 p.m. today. Friends may cal at the funeral home after noon today.

He had operated the Club Cigar Store here for five years, and had been employed for 10 years at the Harrison Steel Casting Co. in Attica. He was a member of the Fountain Lodge No. 60, F&AM, of Covington, and the Wallace Low 12 Club. He was graduated from Perrysville High School in 1935. Survivors include the father, of Covington; the widow, of Covington; four sons, Richard Joe, of Decatur, Ill., Jimmie Jack, of Danville, Ill·., Billie George, and Jeffrey Lynn, both at home; a sister, Mrs. Louise Adams, of Crawfordsville; two grandchildren and several nices and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and three sisters. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. Glenn Ray officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Masonic services will be Saturday at 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday afternoon and evening.
