BLY, Walter - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Attica – Walter Bly, 77, formerly of 303 South Union Street, Attica, died in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette at 9:45 a.m. Friday. He was previously a patient in the Allen Nursing Home for a year and was taken to the hospital Tuesday after falling and suffering a leg fracture for which he underwent surgery Wednesday. A life resident of Attica, he formerly was employed by the Public Service Company until his retirement in 1950. He was married in 1908 to Malinda Heeter who died in 1950. He was a member of First Methodist Church.  Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Emma Ruth Miller, Mrs. Thelma Marr, Mrs. Frances Frodge, all of Attica, and Mrs. Betty Robson of Lafayette; a niece, Mrs. Mary Goodpaster of Lafayette who was reared in the Bly home; a sister, Mrs. Willa Witzberger of Wheeling, W Va; a half brother, Charles Smith of Anderson and half sister, Mrs. Marie Fletcher of Birmingham
